About Altreva
Altreva was founded by Jim Witkam in 2003 and is dedicated to the research and development of algorithmic
trading and financial time series forecasting technology.
Altreva uses adaptive, evolving and self-learning software
technology based on agent-based modeling and evolutionary computing methods.
People
Jim Witkam holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Twente
University, the Netherlands. He has previously been a Consultant and
Manager at both Ernst & Young Treasury & Financial Risk Management and
Ernst & Young Corporate Finance B.V. in Amsterdam. Also he has been Marketing
Director of SmartHaven B.V., a software technology startup company offering
intelligent search and knowledge management solutions (later acquired by Quote Media).
